I really did feel like quitting and buying a pizza and a gallon of ice cream. No, really – I’m a binge eater, so that would have been no problem for me to do in one sitting. So what do you think I did instead?

If I would have eaten that food, I would have gained at minimum, 5 pounds. I didn’t eat that. I pouted and complained and wondered why I couldn’t just lose weight like normal people can. Well, I figured out the secret of weight loss and it is NOT to eat less and move more. It is consistency! Sticking to a way of eating and a lifestyle change, rather than trying, thinking that I failed at weight loss, and then going back to a junk food diet. I’m never going to lose weight with the same thinking that got me to over 300 pounds. I have to change everything I ever thought before so that I can change the way I think and feel about food, and about the scale for that matter. A number or a name does NOT define us.

ANY diet and exercise program will work. ANY – you just have to be consistent with it and follow through. Stay on the path. Set goals. Attain those goals. Reward yourself with something other than food. BE BOLD.
